My electric log splitter arrived yesterday and the thing is a great tool for anyone who burns wood in a brick oven or fireplace. It arrives fully assembled. It is electric, so it will be reliable. To operate, place a log in front of the wedge, hold down two buttons, one with each hand (safety feature) the hydraulic ram engages and the log is split in two.
